In anticipation of customer needs, Prologis owns a land bank of well-located properties. The choice of a park, rather than an isolated building, assures the pooling of certain services, such as surveillance and security, which met the security requirements of L’Oréal.
To handle the sensitive products to be stored in the building, specifications were established: smaller cells of 3,000 square meters and a cross wall along the length of the building behind the dock area.
Prologis also installed a dynamic thermal simulation (DTS), an astounding first in logistic real estate. DTS provides the opportunity to install a gradable LED lighting system in the entire warehouse, including a presence detector and a centralized bi-energy (wood or gas) boiler room. The building obtained BREEAM “Very Good” accreditation.
