Ella ETIENNE-DENOY, CEO of Green Soluce, Cécile TRICAULT, Country Manager France & Regional Head Southern Europe of Prologis and Olivier BARGE, Head of Project Management & Innovation Southern Europe of Prologis took the stage at the Digital Commercial Real Estate Days to discuss decarbonization in logistics.
The health crisis has been a wake-up call to remind everyone about the key role of logistics and put this industry back in the spotlight. For several years, this little-known sector has mostly been conveying a negative image as a polluting industry responsible for urban traffic congestion. This webinar was an opportunity for Green Soluce and Prologis to showcase that the logistic industry has made real progress and to prove its capacity to set an example for other business.
Through their exchanges, the speakers discussed how regulations, the strengthening of environmental certifications (LEED, BREEAM, HQE, DGNB...) for buildings and the willingness of the players have paved the way for the development of the city of tomorrow, the "smart cities", based on well-being, health and digital.
Prologis Park Moissy 2 Les Chevrons, through its SAMADA building, a logistics subsidiary of Monoprix, is a prime example of sustainable innovation, based on the environmental approach deployed by the group in terms of carbon footprint: avoid, reduce, compensate.
Numerous other initiatives and experiments prove the group's commitment: deploying green areas, planting an orchard to produce fruits and vegetables, setting up beehives to first map the state of the surrounding flora by analyzing the pollen collected on site at the entrance to the hives and then carrying out corrective actions to restore or increase biodiversity based on those findings.
